Hannah spent her early childhood in Egypt, the daughter of Philae Zaki Wissa and Hanna Fahmy Wissa, author of Assiout, an Egyptian Family Saga. Her grandmother Ester Fanous was a revolutionary feminist and poet during the 1900s. Hannah was schooled at Notre Dame de Sion School for girls followed by four years at Alexandria University, Egypt from which she graduated with a BA degree in French Literature. She has travelled extensively throughout Europe and lived in Switzerland, France and England. After marrying her English husband, she settled in Kent and subsequently had little time for writing while bringing up two children, and running her own business renovating rundown cottages. Hannah now divides her time between her homes in Kent, Ireland and the South of France. She has written five other novels: Indiscretion, Masquerade and Legacy in the Andalucian Nights Trilogy, and previously Burning Embers and The Echoes of Love.
Praise for The Echoes of Love: `An epic love story that is beautifully told...one of the most romantic works of fiction ever written.' Natasha Harding, The Sun; `Romance and suspense, with a heavy dose of Italian culture.' Press Association
