James Pruett began his career as one of the co-founders of the critically-acclaimed anthology series, Negative Burn in 1993. It was through this association with Caliber Comics that James became the Managing Editor for Caliber in September 1994. While at Caliber, he created The Apparition and Black Mist and wrote several series and edited hundreds of titles. After Caliber, James continued to do freelance writing, particularly for Kaos Moon published by the European Comic Company, Tusk Entertainment, where he served as Managing Editor, in addition to writing for such titles as X-Men Unlimited for Marvel. James continues to write when his new profession in the corporate world gives him a breather. Desperado Publishing released two of his graphic novels- Abandoned with painted art by Michael Gaydos, and Black Mist featuring art by Mike Perkins. Writing credits include: X-Men Unlimited; Negative Burn; Black Mist; The Apparition; Kaos Moon; Raven Chronicles; Caliber Core; Abandoned; Burning Circle; Kilroy; Book of Angels; Inferno; among others.
