"A good choice for young musicians ... a well-written text." -- School Library Journal "This will be particularly useful for parents and classroom teachers hoping to make the study of great music more interesting." -- Kirkus Reviews "A great introduction to classical piano music." -- Curriculum Review "A far-ranging book that explains musical terms as well as the times in which the composer lived, this is one way to put a face to classical music and show a young person that real, interesting people not only composed this music but also enjoyed playing and listening to it." -- BookLoons "The great composer, the music and the history all come alive! With historic illustrations, diagrams and cool activities (like dancing the Viennese waltz!), the book is full of fab information and makes a great coffee table book. It's a fantastic way to get your kids into classical music, or for those who are taking music lessons." -- Celebrity Parent
