A first novelty board book for young children about a day at the park, with push, pull and turning mechanisms.
Louise Forshaw discovered drawing at a young age and has rarely stopped drawing since! Studying Illustration and Animation at Newcastle College she graduated in 2008. Turning her attention to children's books she now works from her small home studio, with three Jack Russell terriers to keep her company. She has also illustrated Busy Baking, Busy Pets and Busy Farm for Campbell.
This bright, colourful book is so interactive and has lots of
things for little ones to look at and do. As they push and pull
different parts of the scene, they reveal different features which
help to encourage discussion and learning.
Our testers liked that the book was high quality and very sturdy,
even for enthusiastic little hands! As children interact with and
discuss the scenes in the book, they develop their observation
skills, learn basic words and learn more about the world around
them. We also like that there are further learning opportunities
for the slightly older children as speech bubbles contain questions
such as “can you see a nest?” and “how many ducklings are
there?”.
