Christian Meier is Professor of Ancient History at the
University of Munich. He is one of Europe’s leading authorities on
the late Roman Republic and is the author of ‘The Greek Discovery
of Politics’, ‘The Political Art of Greek Tragedy’ and
‘Caesar’.
