About the Author

Frank Furedi teaches sociology and development studies at the University of Kent at Canterbury. He has written widely on anti-colonial movements and is the author of The Mau Mau War in Perspective (1989) and Mythical Past and Elusive Future: Exploring the Sociology of History (1992).
