About the Author

Leonard Kinsey was born and raised in Clearwater, FL, and was lucky enough to visit Walt Disney World over 100 times by age 18. As an adult he still harbors an unhealthy obsession with The Mouse, has acquired a large collection of vintage EPCOT Center memorabilia, and visits WDW at least once a year, maintaining connections throughout the rest of the year with Cast Members and other Orlando-based friends and relatives. Kinsey has been involved in the world of media his whole adult life, winning a Pinellas County Cable Access TV award at age 16 for "Best Soundtrack" for a short film he directed and scored. From there Kinsey ran the television station at a prestigious university for four years, producing hundreds of hours of narrative, documentary, and live programming, including the genesis of THE DARK SIDE OF DISNEY, a 30-minute look at the off-limits areas of Walt Disney World. Kinsey then moved on to CNN International where he worked with foreign correspondents for two years as an audio engineer and robotic camera operator. Retiring from television, Kinsey now works as a Systems Administrator, maintaining server farms for one of the largest dot-coms in the world. In his spare time he has published a comic book and written and directed a feature film which received international distribution. He is also the guitarist in a rock band who appeared on a hit FOX show and released two internationally acclaimed CDs.

Reviews

With additional blurbs that include "The anarchist cookbook of Disney travel guides" and "Utterly unauthorized tips, tricks and scams for your WDW vacation," the reader knows that Mr. Toad's Wild Ride has nothing on this approach to Disneyworld. From the best places to have sex and which recreational drugs work best on Space Mountain to when it will speed up your ride wait time if you pretend to be disabled, this guide is certainly not the standard traveler's aid. While Kinsey's advice borders on the immoral and the illegal, with an abundance of profanity, this irreverent tour into the enchanted kingdom won't be boring. VERDICT For collections that already have the basic tour guides and could use a very spicy addition.-J. Sara Paulk, Wythe-Grayson Regional Lib., Independence, VA (c) Copyright 2012.
