About the Author

Jennifer Hamblin is a reference librarian at the Glenbow Museum in Calgary, Alberta.She holds a Master of Library Science from the University of Toronto and a Master of Arts in history from McMaster University. She first became interested in the Pocaterras when she was asked to arrange and describe their personal papers while she was working as an archivist for the Glenbow. Born in Cuba, David Finch was raised in Venezuela and earned a master's degree in Canadian history at the University of Calgary. He is the author of over 20 books on the history of the Canadian West. He lives in Calgary with his wife, Jeannie, and works as a consulting historian when not canoeing, cross-country skiing, hiking or biking.
