Praise for Ann Wroe "[In "Pontius Pilate", ] Wroe, the editor of
the American section of "The Economist", has attempted an original
kind of speculative biography. It is a substantial tribute to her
Oxford training as a historian, her breadth of reading and her
canny but careful imagination to report that she has achieved much
more than might have been expected." ("The New York Times Book
Review") "Compelling, eloquent, and vivid...In a superb blend of
scholarship and creativity, Wroe brings this elusive yet pivotal
figure [Pontius Pilate] to life." ("The Boston Globe") Praise for
Keith Colquhoun "[In "Killing Stalin", Colquhoun has mastered] the
art of turning the impossible into the credible...[and] given quite
a lot of people at least one sleepless night." ("The Guardian")
