About the Author
Virginia Johnson is a Canadian textile designer who creates colourful prints on clothing, shawls, home, and children's wear. Founded in 2001, the collection is carried in over 100 stores worldwide including: Anthropologie, Barneys, Takashimaya, Holt Renfrew, Liberty's, Selfridges and Net-a-Porter. Virginia paints all of her prints with watercolours and then they are silkscreened onto fabric in India and Toronto. She draws inspiration from her travels and from nature, particularly birds, water, trees, flowers and animals. Virginia attended Parsons School of Design and worked as an accessories designer for Helmut Lang in New York. She also illustrated a series of books and stationery for Kate Spade. Other clients include Vogue, Vogue Japan, InStyle, and Holt Renfrew.
