About the Author

Donald Nijboer is a best-selling aviation author, historian, documentary writer-producer and Smithsonian speaker. Donald is the author of a number of titles, many of which he has written for Osprey. Currently, he is writing and producing full-length aviation documentaries for the online broadcaster Aerocinema.com. He has also written articles for Flight Journal, Aviation History and Aeroplane Monthly. He lives in Toronto, Canada. Jim Laurier attended Paier School of Art in Hamden, Connecticut, from 1974–78, and since graduating with Honours, he has been working professionally in the field of Fine Art and Illustration. He has been commissioned to paint for the US Air Force and has aviation paintings on permanent display at the Pentagon. He is a native of New England and lives in New Hampshire. Gareth Hector is a digital artist of international standing as well as an aviation history enthusiast. Gareth completed the battlescene artwork and cover artwork. He lives in Perthshire, UK.
