AfterwordI am deeply moved by Apostle Fidel Donaldson's championship of women in this book, Great Women.His decision to speak up for women in the church who may feel silenced by interpretations of the Gospelthat suggest that God sees women as second class citizens, is a rare thing to see among male churchleaders, but it is an important contribution. Donaldson's book presents a powerful counter-narrative thatbelies false assumptions that women have no authority to speak, teach or preach on behalf of God'sKingdom. Apostle Donaldson makes a compelling case for female inclusion in church leadership and inevery aspect of Kingdom service--from the humblest role to the highest--using Great Women from theBible to argue convincingly that God has always used women to spread His Word and to do His will onearth. More significantly, Donaldson argues that God rarely chooses women who are well-oiled to do Hiswill.
