Whitney Sanford, professor emerita of religion at the University of Florida, is the author of Singing Krishna: Sound Becomes Sight in Paramānand’s Poetry, and Living Sustainably: What Intentional Communities Can Teach Us about Democracy, Simplicity, an Vandana Shiva is the director of Navdanya in India. A physicist, philosopher, and feminist, she is the author of more than twenty books and the recipient of more than twenty international awards.
