Walter Hirsh OBE, former Race Relations Conciliator, is a keen tramper, adventurer and environmentalist. He is a member of the Auckland Outdoors Activities Club and the Arteez Tramping Club. He and his wife Adele have walked many tracks in New Zealand and in overseas locations including Vanuatu, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Australia.
