About the Author

Through varied pursuits, Malcolm Mitchell has sought to creatively balance the mystical and therapeutic, research and grass-roots activism. He has campaigned on different species welfare issues, counselled people with mental health problems and worked widely in alternative education. He is currently working on a project focused on challenges in Madagascar and their global contexts.
