William (Curtis) Hayward: Born 21st September, 1931; died Ibiza 8th December,1968,possibly committed suicide. Merton Oxford, 1952-1955; friend of Edward Lucie Smith, John Purkis,Elizabeth Jennings and Adrian Mitchell. Poet, correspondent with David Jones, plans textual commentary of 'The Anathemata'; correspondence with TS Eliot; interest in the occult; breakdowns in 1962; 'The Dance of Earth'(1962) most ambitious poem; subsequent travels to Ibiza from home in Gloucestershire; survived by wife, Sally, and three children, Kath, Mike and Paul.
