Colonel Bob Stewart believes leading under pressure is as great a challenge as it can get, and he should know. Having served in Northern Ireland and Bosnia, where he was British battalion commander, he has faced life and death situations and the toughest decisions any leader can make.
Colonel Bob Stewart DSO completed 26 years army service and was the first British battalion commander in Bosnia, for which he was awarded the Distinguished Service Order. He is currently an independent consultant specializing in political and security matters, Vice President of the United Kingdom National Defence Association and President of Action for Armed Forces. He regularly writes for various newspapers and is a frequent commentator on radio and television. He has written and presented a BBC TV programme Reflections on Leadership and a series of documentaries called 'The Negotiator' for Channel 5 Television.
