There are bike seat covers made from vintage fabric, crocheted baubles to decorate your house (or car!), hand-printed gift bags and pretty decals to customise plates or mugs. More adventurous crafters might like to try the deer quilt (in either couch or cot size) or the handy bottle tote to store your drinks when you head out for the day. Making hey isn't just about sewing and craft though - there are also 5 pull-out recipe cards with delicious goodies to take on a picnic or just enjoy at home. All of the projects have step-by-step instructions and illustrations to guide you through, and with comprehensive sections on sewing, crochet and knitting basics, Make Hey While the Sun Shines is perfect for anyone who is interested in handmaking their own beautiful things.

I love books that provide pattens in pockets and are spiral bound, so that they lie flat when you are crafting - and this book does both. This book is full of projects to get you crafting - a welcome flag, good gift bags, finger puppets, bunting, cushions, bike seat cover, tote and so much more. I adore the piggy back pocket monkey - he's so cute. The geography seat is a great idea, could be used as a table - now why didn't I think of this? Ideas for all the family using a variety of crafts including sewing, embroidery, crochet and more. A fun book that will help to usefully occupy any spare time you have.
