About the Author

Edd Applegate is professor in the School of Journalism, College of Mass Communication, at Middle Tennessee State University. He is the author of Literary Journalism: A Biographical Dictionary of Writers and Editors (1996) and The Ad Men and Women: A Biographical Dictionary of Advertising (1994).
