About the Author

Born in Kiev, Nathalie Parain trained in Moscow immediately after the Russian Revolution. After moving to Paris, she applied her innovative ideas about art and education to the numerous books she wrote for children.
Michel Defourny is a specialist in children's literature and a professor at the University of Liege, France.
