Michael D. Guiry is a member of the Royal Irish Academy and Emeritus Professor of Botany at the National University of Ireland, Galway. He co-editor of New Survey of Clare Island: v. 6: Freshwater and Terrestrial Algae (2007). David M. John is a Professor and Scientific Associate at the Natural History Museum, London. His research interests centre around the taxonomy, ecology and biogeography of tropical marine algae and freshwater algae. He his co-editor of New Survey of Clare Island: v. 6: Freshwater and Terrestrial Algae (2007). Fabio Rindi is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Life and Environmental Sciences at the Università Politecnica delle Marche, Ancona, Italy. His research interests focus on systematics, evolution, ecology, reproduction and life histories of algae. The primary targets of his research are marine red and green algae and terrestrial green algae. He is co-editor of New Survey of Clare Island: v. 6: Freshwater and Terrestrial Algae (2007). T.K. McCarthy is Emeritus Doctor in the department of Zoology at the Martin Ryan Institute, NUI, Galway. He is co-editor of New Survey of Clare Island: v. 6: Freshwater and Terrestrial Algae (2007).
