This anthology is not dissimilar to others - there's some good stories and some not so good. The other problem these stories has, again, as do other anthologies, is that there is not enough time to really set the story up. Having said all that, it is not too bad a book. My favorites stories were by Liz Carlyle and Cathy Maxwell. In the first story, the protagonists have been in love with each other for years but misunderstandings have got in their way and it takes a scheming old lady to bring them together again. In the second story by Maxwell, Dane has been eaten up with bitterness since Jemma betrayed him. But a threatened duel between him and Jemma's brother brings them together again. But will terribly hurt feelings get in the way of their re-emerging love. The other two stories by Alexander and James are quite humorous but didn't do anything for me. All in all, I would suggest you try the authors' full length books.
