Carol Frischmann: Writer and educator Carol Frischmann was saved from tumbling down a flight of stairs by the family dog. Ever since, she has been repaying her debt to creatures that fly, run, swim, or slither. Author of ten books and more than 450 articles about pets and wildlife, Carol believes that animals have much to teach us about ourselves and the world around us. Carol has worked with Audubon chapters, wildlife hospitals, and zoos and is a member of the National Association of Science Writers. She resides in Grand Canyon National Park with two African Grey parrots.
