Mohammad Majd has...diligently mined a much under-utilized source, the U.S. State Department archives, and assembled a great deal of useful and interesting information. The analysis he presents, furthermore, particularly regarding the political context in Iran immediately prior to the outbreak of the war, offers some valuable insights.
