About the Author

B?LENT G?KAY is Lecturer in the Department of International Relations and Coordinator of the European Studies Programme at Keele University. His publications include A Clash of Empires: Turkey between Russian Bolshevism and British Imperialism (1997) and seven volumes of British Documents of Foreign Affairs - Turkey, 1923-39 (1997). He is joint editor of Kosovo: Myths, Conflict and War (1999).
