About the Author

Mark has compressed a tremendous amount of practical experience in his 15 years of engineering with a wide spectrum of activities from power system protection, telecommunications, power quality and finally fibre optic design and installation. Although one could conclude that as a result "he is a jack of all trades, but master of none", he has demonstrated a significant track record of success in each of these areas in his design and commissioning work. He has specialised in the fibre optic field for the past few years providing solutions from fibre management frames, DWDM, test equipment and fibre management software.

Reviews

"... provides engineers, field technicians, electricians, and plant operators a better understanding of power system protection systems, and as such could be used for company onsite training as well as individual learning ... it is an outstanding resource for obtaining a quick overview of the basic fundamentals of protection systems commonly used in mainly low and medium voltage power systems." - IEEE Electrical Insulation Magazine, 2006
