Enhager, a Swedish instructor, relates the parable of frustrated golfer John Smith, who journeys to Iowa, home of ``quantum golf genius'' Linc St. Clair in a desperate search to remedy his flagging game. St. Clair recommends employing the teachings of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, a proponent of transcendental meditation, in combination with quantum theory physics in order to present the ultimate mental/physical approach to the game. Smith ponders recommendations like ``Inhale on the backswing, say `super,' then upon exhalation say `fluid.' '' For deeper understanding, author Enhager recommends Deepak Chopra's Quantum Healing (Bantam, 1989) and Robert Roth's Transcendental Meditation (Donald I. Fine, 1987), while the Maharishi suggests the Bhagavad-Gita , with translation and commentary. In the last scenario, St. Clair applauds as Smith scores a hole in one. Recommended for libraries needing offbeat golf material.--Eugene J. Millich, formerly with Univ. of Wisconsin Lib., La Crosse
