"If there is such a thing as a Selbu knitting scholar, Anne
Bårdsgård is it. ... This book has 'recipes' for a hat, socks, and
two sweaters, where you can plug in the motif of your choice. [And]
knitters are spoiled for choice ... there are more than 450 (!)
here, gathered from museums and personal collections."--Modern
Daily Knitting
"This book would be of value to anyone with an interest in
Norwegian knitting or textiles. [It's] definitely not a 'how to
knit' book, but for the intermediate-advanced knitter who is
familiar with stranded knitting, it offers a wealth of information,
motifs, and pattern templates for knitting one's own Selbu-style
garment."--Carolyn Vance for Cast On
