Spanish for the IB MYP 4&5 Phases 1-2 book is an example of
very articulate writing for the foreign language user to interpret
and comprehend . The way it is structured helps to learn the
language in the right local context and makes the user self
dependent to learn further . Though the area covered of the content
is large , the playlist of videos in the You-tube channel of the
author comes handy for self learning . Book not only teaches the
language , but helps to understand about the socio-cultural and
political perspectives of the spanish speaking countries. For the
user who intends to travel to these places ; or interact with
spanish speaking people , the book helps understand the patterns of
behavior and thinking .

The book is so packed with inspirational ideas and strategies that
it has convinced me to refer to it for my French classes. Each unit
is planned with extreme precision keeping in mind a perfect balance
between contextual learning with real life connections. The wide
range of content provides scope for choosing a theme based on the
interest of both learners and teachers. Each unit beautifully links
the principles and learner profiles promoted by the IB. There are
multiple opportunities for Interdisciplinary activities as well as

Spanish for phases 1-2 is an amazing tool. I love the wide variety
of activities, the connections with real world and international

Ce deuxième volume de MYP by Concept- Spanish est aussi bon que le
premier si ce n'est meilleur. Le fidèle lecteur retrouvera une
structure qu'il a déjà apprivoisée, le nouveau public, lui sera
séduit par les évolutions. L'apparition de l'encadré «contenido
esencial » permet, en un coup d'œil, d'appréhender ce dont il sera
question dans le chapître. Les références à la grammaire sont
désormais plus explicites mais toujours laissées à l'appréciation
de l'utilisateur sous forme de suggestion. Les approches
d'apprentissage sont, elles aussi plus clairement exprimées. Enfin,
aspect non négligeable qu'il convient de souligner, chaque section
est clôturée par une série de tâches somatives. Ce second opus est
à ne pas douter un soutien essentiel et incontournable pour tout
enseignant qui cherche à améliorer sa pratique MYP tout en ayant
plaisir à découvrir le monde hispanophone.

Una excelente herramienta de trabajo. Es un libro muy completo para
enseñar español en MYP o DP como ha sido mi caso. Las lectures son
buenísimas y despiertan el interés en el estudiante por aprender
más del idioma y de la cultura. La diversidad de actividades
permite al educador pensar más allá antes al preparar sus lecciones
y al estudiante dar ese extra para enriquecer su aprendizaje.

This book is amazing. It offers a lot of opportunities to help
students understand culture in Spanish speaking countries. Also,
there are lots of activities that promote inquiry and reflection
that involve whole processes rather than just vocabulary and
filling in the blanks. Students have to use their intellect and
prior knowledge to go beyond competing tasks, using real
information in a global context, making real life connections. It
comes with very well planned activities with a perfect balance
within the units, along with beautiful pictures. A true inspiration
to learn and teach Spanish.
