Transform your relationship to life through Zen cooking
Florencia Clifford was born and grew up in the city of Córdoba
in Argentina. In 1994 she moved to York, where she lives with her
family just outside the city walls. She has been working as a Zen
cook for the past seven years.
Michaela Meadow grew up among the vibrant colours and open
landscapes of South Africa, before moving to the UK. She graduated
from University College Falmouth in 2011 and works as a freelance
illustrator.
An intensely felt and highly personal description of the
transformation of a Zen cook's life through cooking. Beautifully
written, with flowering prose, this book will inspire anyone who
cooks.

There are many delicious recipes tucked inside these pages, but the
main one is this: in responding to each moment with authenticity,
inquiry, compassion and mindfulness, we truly encounter the wonder
of our lives.

Florencia's food feeds not just the body but the spirit.

Put simply, Feeding Orchids to the Slugs is the best book I've ever
thought I'd not want to read.

The reader cannot help but be affected by this author's ability to
see cooking as a joy and by the way her spirit shines through her
words as she describes her recipes. She speaks of her cooking as a
kind of alchemy - the transformation of basic ingredients into
food.
*Green Spirit Magazine*
Feeding Orchids to the Slugs is one of the most honest and moving
accounts of an individual's personal journey that we have had the
pleasure of reading. This is a book that we would strongly
recommend to anyone. It would also make a perfect gift, being a
carefully crafted hardback with superb illustrations by Michaela
Meadow.

I've read a few other reviews of 'Feeding Orchids to The Slugs' on
the net to see how other people described it; "evocative" seems to
be the word used the most, and I couldn't think of a better one
myself.
