Annie's is part of the third-generation Muselman family business, founded in 1925 and long known for original craft designs including crochet, knitting, sewing, quilting and needlework. Annie's books are sold through independent retailers and major chain stores worldwide. They are headquartered in Berne, Indiana.
A selection of nine quilts which use 2 1/2" strips from a variety
of different designers. Background fabrics are also required for
these quilts. Full size templates are provided and there are tips
such as using starch when dealing with bias edges. Instructions are
clear and there is a Quilting Basics section with limited
information to finish the quilts. Ideal for beginners but these
quilts would be of interest for the more experienced too. Some good
ideas for quick-pieced quilts which would work for charity makes.
These quilts would also be a starting point for using up your left
over strips. The quilts are simpler single block quilts, a mixture
of two blocks combined. I particularly liked the 'Strippin' Hexies'
which was a clever use of strips and background to give a giant
hexagonal effect. A useful book for strip quilt ideas.
