Born in 1974 in Toms River, New Jersey, Ryan Foley's obsession with comic books began during his childhood with trips to the grocery store with his mother where he was first introduced to characters such as Spider-Man and Batman. In 2004, Ryan achieved a lifelong goal when his first comic book was published. When not writing comics, Ryan enjoys all kinds of movies, especially fantasy and sci-fi films such as Star Wars and The Lord of the Rings.
"An entertaining tale of adventure and redemption set in ancient
Egypt. . . . Nagar floods his striking artwork with a rich palette
of ruby, sapphire, and gold . . . Foley does not steer away from
grisly details of Egyptian life, including slavery and violence,
although the illustrations are circumspect on these points." —
Publishers Weekly
"For readers, middle school and above, who want an adventure." —

"I highly recommend Campfire’s comics. They do what they
are intended to do and do it in a way that excites kids about
classic literature."
— Chris Wilson, The Graphic Classroom (a resource for teachers and
librarians)
