Margaret Brandman's career in music as composer, pianist, recording artist, music educator, arranger and writer on music education spans more than 45 years. She has combined her compositional interests with her interest in accelerated learning techniques for music. Margaret has composed a large range of pieces for a variety of instruments and voice which have been released on several CD's produced by Parma Recordings USA. Her concert works for piano, voice, chamber ensembles and orchestra receive both live performances and international airplay on a regular basis. Margaret is writer and publisher of many music education materials in her contemporary series of education materials, which range from books for junior students, to text books for high school and tertiary study. Her catalogue contains over 100 published books and compositions. At the time of writing, she is continuing her career as composer, recording artist, performer, and music educator.
Twelve Timely Pieces which, as its name implies, is a collection of
twelve original works of graded difficulty that provide
supplementary material for use with Brandman's Contemporary Piano
Method. The pieces are writtem in major and minor keys up to two
sharps or flats and include times signatures that progress
incrementally from 2/4 to 7/4. The pieces explore a variety of
rhythms, styles and moods and with titles like Charlie's Cheerful
Chune, Code B (Morse Code) and A Sleepy, Creepy Ghost Story are
sure to excite the imagination. The pieces are very useful items
for eisteddfods, concerts, examination extra lists or school
performance.
