and deserves a permanent place on display in any home, as the
classic it is' * Strange Alliances *
Liu's poetic and loquacious prose and often vivid descriptions
really draw you in... The Wall of Storms is one of the
fantasy books of 2016. Simply put it's not just a book that you
read, it's a journey that you take and is highly recommended' *

Liu is a writer at the top of his game... the drama and action is
impressive, delivered in compelling prose and tight set-piece
scenes. Even the philosophical discussions and scientific
explorations that drive the twists in the plot skip along with an
urgency. But Liu's real skill is in keeping the story rooted in the
hearts and lives of real people, regardless of the overall scale of
the work' * Shoreline of Infinity *
'Poetic metaphorical prose is widely and pleasingly used in this
series' * newbooks *
'Liu's prose is excellent [and] there is a poetry to his work' *
