Where the Truth Lies is a clever, gripping thriller with
complex characters and chilling secrets at its core. Karina
Kilmore's flawed heroine takes us through Melbourne's gritty
underside in a desperate quest to uncover the truth. The
investigative journalist battles to piece together a dark puzzle of
unexplained deaths, big business, trade unions and media
manipulation. I love her feistiness and determination to take on
the old boys' network. This compelling story touches on so many
hot-button topics that you'll keep thinking about it long after
you've finished the last page. A truly impressive debut. --

'Reading Karina Kilmore's Where the Truth Lies, I was
reminded of American author Sara Peretsky's first books. And she
writes fluently, her descriptions often lyrical. There's every
chance we're seeing the beginning of a substantial antipodean
series that will inform and analyse while it entertains' * The
