This two-disc anthology, The Best of Oscar Peterson, combines tracks the influential jazz pianist recorded for the Verve and Concord labels. Primarily focused on his trio recordings, as well as his duo sessions, this compilation offers a nice overview of Peterson's work from throughout his storied career. Featured are recordings with such artists as Joe Pass, St‚phane Grappelli, Dizzy Gillespie, Ben Webster, and others. ~ Matt Collar
