Formed in 2012 after Sonic Youth bookends Thurston Moore and Kim Gordon called it quits (in the marriage department), Chelsea Light Moving's finds the venerable guitar god Moore, along with guitarist Keith Wood (Hush Arbors), drummer John Maloney (Sunburned Hand of Man), and bassist/violinist Samara Lubelski mining familiar post-punk/noise rock nooks and crannies while focusing heavily on the hallucinatory, pop culture-skewing sensibilities of William S. Burroughs.
