Patti LaBelle's Icon compilation covers 1985 through 1997, a period during which the singer was on the MCA label. It produced some of her most commercial recordings, including the number one Hot 100 single "On My Own," her duet with Michael McDonald. That adult contemporary staple is here, and so are most of the other singles off the albums Winner in You, Be Yourself, Burnin', Gems, and Flame, from "New Attitude" to "When You Talk About Love."
