Mindy Smith's take on country-steeped Americana succeeds on the merits of her warm, intimate delivery and sophisticated touch. MY HOLIDAY, a Christmas album, benefits from those qualities, and makes listeners feel as though they're sitting with Smith and some elegant friends around a yuletide fire.
