The opening "Ba-oomba, Ba-oom Ba-oom Ba-oomba" of "Everyone Asked About You," makes it clear that listeners are in for a treat with this collection of original tunes by Sesame Street favorite Bob McGrath. Unlike some of his peers, McGrath actually studied music, and it shows in the imaginative material here. The band is comprised of seasoned veterans of the pop, jazz and studio scene, like Will Lee from David Letterman's CBS Orchestra and jazz institution Dick Hyman. McGrath and his partner, Kristian Rex, have crafted an uncommonly listenable disc of original material that bears repeated listening. And it's fun, too. ~ Ross Boissoneau
