  • This rootsy duo built up a loyal live following on countless gigs throughout the 1990s and during the early '00s. On their self-titled 2007 album, they continue to mine the alt country vein that's become second nature to them, on a set that includes the poppy, good-natured "Ballad of Joe Snowboard," the regretful "Blazing Out of Sight," and the brooding "Give Up the Ghost," all performed with a stripped-down production that highlights their trademark instinctive, organic harmonies, occasionally augmented by spare, tasteful guitar, keyboards, and percussion.
Professional Reviews
Dirty Linen (p.51) - "[T]he well-crafted, expressive poetry in the verses of 'For a Song' sets in motion a stunning vocal and musical resolution to this piece."

No Depression (p.122) - "[T]hey steer clear of platitudes, showcasing lyrics that conjure up real people and music that sounds as original as it is lilting."
