Composer Nathan Barr (Hostel, The Last Exorcism) lends some much needed gravitas to the increasingly over the top vampire dramedy True Blood. His dense, atmospheric soundtrack for season two continues in the electro-baroque vein that dominated the program's first season, and much like Daniel Licht's excellent work on the likeminded Dexter, or X-Files maestro Mark Snow, his tasteful, suspenseful, and increasingly distinct sound has become synonymous with the show itself. ~ James Christopher Monger
